“God” is nobody to sing about

Somebody said “…the music we sing must open the imagination to the reality of God.”

Although I agree with this, it is way too low a standard to be anything other than part of the problem. The church does not sing about “God”; the church sings about “God-in-the-flesh-crucified-and-resurrected”.

A “God” may be somebody to kill infidels for, but is nobody to sing about.
