By contrast, the two main conservative principles are:
1. Maintain the noble elements of our culture.
2. Uphold the liberty of the people.
Really, read the whole thing. I will add one caveat, though: some on the Right want to increase government power so they can control the sex. But this is a tiny and impotent fringe; the large and powerful core of the Left are those who want to increase government power so they can control all the money.
It really is that simple.
